If you are an invited speaker you do not need to submit a registration form, however if you wish to buy an additional dinner tickets for your partner, please complete the registration form indicating that you would like to purchase the dinner ticket. Please complete and return the registration form by 31 January 2012. All costs mentioned in the form are in Australian dollars.
AUSTRALIAN-BASED EARLY CAREER RESEARCHERS AND STUDENTS: The Australian Nanotechnology Network (ANN) and the Australian Government’s Department of Innovation Industry Science and Research are funding a generous subsidy for a selected number of Australian-based early career researchers and students to register for the workshop. Accommodation for invited speakers, as well as transportation between the university and hotel has been arranged at the Sebel Hotel at Newcastle Beach. If you are not staying at the hotel, there are a number of surrounding hotels and youth hostels within close walking distance to Newcastle train station as well as the conference dinner location at Noah's on the Beach.
The Sebel Hotel is situated close to Newcastle Beach and Newcastle Train Station. We recommend either flying into either Sydney International Airport or Newcastle Domestic Airport (Williamtown). Rail line: A train can be caught from Sydney International Airport to Sydney Central station, where you can transfer to a train bound for Newcastle Station. The trip should take roughly 3 hours and cost $18 including the airport train and fare to Newcastle. Most major car-hire companies have pick up and drop off points between Sydney Airport and Newcastle, however the drop off points are not within walking distance from the Sebel hotel.

Arriving from Newcastle Domestic Airport (Williamtown)

Transfers between Accommodation and Workshop
Private cars will transport invited speakers between the hotel and University on both days of the conference. For those booking accommodation near a railway station, the conference venue at the University of Newcastle's Callaghan campus is accessible by arriving at Warrabrook station and walking over the bridge towards the campus at the Advanced Technology Centre building (ATC) as shown in the .pdf map here.
